At the intersection of 6th Avenue and 44th Street, 45 sculptors occupied and transformed a magnificent commercial space. Retail may be struggling but art is asserting the return of New York City as we emerge from a pandemic, experience the global environmental crisis and facing a fraught political landscape. Working in multiple media, using methods from traditional to experimental, the sculptors of the Guild enrich and redefine contemporary art by creating engaging, provocative, evocative, memorable works.
